About Us

John Warren-Albert and Justin Christ graduated from USMC Boot Camp at Parris Island a week apart in 2009 and ended up at The School of Infantry at Camp Geiger together and then joined 1/8 in 2010. They deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 and 2012. Twelve years later Justin asked John for access to all of the files he had collected related to 1/8. Some conversations took place and Postea Bellum was formed. 

After retiring form the Marines John went to film school using the GI Bill and began a documentary entitled Postea Bellum in 2015. It was not the right time for him to make the documentary and the files sat half finished for nine years. When Justin asked for the folder of files John found the old, partially completed film and watched it.
